TeenNow California Scholarships
2012 Scholarship Applications
TeenNow California (formerly the California Alliance Concerned with
School Age Parenting and Pregnancy Prevention) was organized in 1971 to
serve as an advocate for the school-age parent in the State of
California. The membership is composed of educators, social workers,
health care providers, parents, policymakers and others committed to
helping pregnant and parenting teens cope with new life challenges.
TeenNow California has been awarding scholarships since 1985.
Scholarships for expectant and parenting students are awarded by
region. A $300 Regional Scholarship Award will be given to a
senior in each of the 8 TeenNow regions. Each regional applicant will
then compete for the STATE Scholarship of an additional $500.
Deadline: March 30, 2012
Eligibility Requirements (for expectant or parenting teens scholarship):

Male and female high school graduating seniors who are expectant or parenting

Currently attending a high school within the state of California
-
Planning to pursue further education or training after high school
-
Sponsorship by a current TeenNow California member
EACH APPLICANT MUST BE
SPONSORED BY A CURRENT TEENNOW CALIFORNIA MEMBER. If your sponsor is
not sure whether they are a current member, please contact
