TeenNow California, formerly the California Alliance Concerned with School Age Parenting and Pregnancy Prevention, is a state-wide organization that provides training, technical assistance, advocacy, and professional development opportunities to those working with adolescents. New Resource for Cal-SAFE Programs
TeenNow California provides resources for teen pregnancy prevention and teen parent programs. Recently added is a letter from the National Women's Law Center and The California Child Development Administrators Association that Cal-SAFE sites and their stakeholders can use to encourage schools to maintain their Cal-SAFE programs.
Rights, Respect, Responsibility: It's What's Good for Teens
TeenNow California supports the Rights, respect, responsibility campaign developed by Advocates for Youth. The 3Rs is based on the concept that teens are valued members of society and, when give accurate, complete information, are able to make responsible decisions for themselves.
Rights: We believe that teens have the right to comprehensive sex educationRespect: We respect teens as valued members of the community
Responsibility: We know that teens can make responsible decisions when provided with accurate and complete information about their health.
